drupa 2024 Recap - united for printing excellence
AGSflexo received great response at our drupa stand and a lot of interest in end seals and doctor blades that are an important part in the press efficiency equation.
Three weeks have passed since the end of drupa, time for a recap. Like many in the industry, we had been eagerly awaiting the event, the largest international trade fair for the printing industry. We had high hopes of building on the success of the last drupa in 2016 and taking the opportunity to maintain existing relationships, make new contacts and initiate new business opportunities, when the entire industry comes together in one place.
Of course, we were also concerned with the question of whether this first post-Corona drupa will still have the same significance as before and whether visitors will turn up in large numbers to find out about new developments, potential sources of supply and trends. After all, a lot has happened in our company since the last drupa and we have steadily expanded our range of products and services of the Agergaard Group.
The Agergaard Group journey and it's link to drupa
In the drupa video podcast "Trade Talke Today" our marketing manager Jasmin van der Kamp shares personal insights about the development and innovations of the Group, her personal journey with the company and the special role drupa plays in it.
A year ago, we introduced the AGSflexo brand for our chamber doctor blade seals and doctor blades for printing and coating in the flexo process, which we have been developing and manufacturing from the very start of our company.
AkeBoose, part of our group of companies since 2018, specializes in equipment construction and machine components for flexographic printing, with a focus on chamber doctor blade systems, ink supply systems and small to medium-sized inline printing units.
EKS, integrated into AkeBoose since the beginning of 2024, serves both packaging printing and other industries such as the nonwoven and construction sectors with larger printing units up to 4 meters.
What could be explored on our booth at drupa?
At drupa 2024, we now had the opportunity to present this broad range of services to the international printing industry. After 11 days, we can draw a positive conclusion: We are very grateful for the great response we received at our stand!
With our proven AGSflexo "end seal tower", which has accompanied us at trade fairs for many years, we presented best practice chamber doctor blade seals for various flexographic printing applications. We discussed the best options for their printing application with visitors from all over the world. This often involved longer seal life and the elimination of leakage problems, especially at higher printing speeds.
The counterpart to this was our doctor blade tower, which offered plenty of sample material of different plastic and steel doctor blades to explore, touch and compare. Whether it's a wear-resistant UHMW doctor blade for post printing of corrugated board, a polyester containment blade to remedy leaks or a durable steel doctor blade for precise doctoring of abrasive white ink, the possible applications are many and varied!
